Adrian Moraes vs Geje Eustaquio set for ONE: Pinnacle of Power. To unify the Flyweight belt

Pinnacle of Power

The ONE Championship Flyweight interim champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio is set to fight the reigning Flyweight champion the Brazilian Adriano “Black Diamond” Moraes to unify the ONE Championship Flyweight belt. The fight will take place in Beijing, China on 16 June at ONE: Pinnacle of Power.

The fight will be a rematch between two of them, they first met in 2014 at ONE: Rise of the Kingdom in Phnom Penh in Cambodia for the vacant Flyweight title, where Moraes won in the second round via Guillotine Choke.

Adriano Moraes lost his ONE flyweight title to the Kazakh Kairat Akhmetov at ONE Dynasty of Champions in Beijing in 2015. Kairat Akhmetov did not defend his title for two years because of injuries and personal issues. While the reigning champion Kairat was injured, The “black diamond” remained active in the cage and became the interim champion by winning Tilek Batyrov at ONE: Heroes of the World in Macau, China in August 2016. One year later Adriano Moraes unified the titles by defeating Kairat Akhmetov in the title unification bout. Since then, Moraes has defended his title only once, he turned down a fight in January and got injured before his title defence that was scheduled against Reece McLaren in March 2018.
